Less-than-usual pop sounds from the other sides of the tracks, that's what Reckonwrong has for us on his new two-tracker. Whities 009 contains two strange jams rich in 80’s production touches: chunky bass and warped vocals. Be bewildered by the sounds of Reckonwrong! 12” release on the Whities label.

Fed up with boring music? Try this.
Reckonwrong plays oddball left field dance music with all sort of stuttery funky rhythms which spend most of the record trying to get in sync with each other. But wait til you hear the vocals. He has a grainy low croon that sings peculiar rhyme over the racket and sometimes it all falls into place so spectacularly that it sounds like something completely new and unique is going on here. 'The Passions of Pez' is rather remarkable. I can't really compare it. King Krule collabin' with Arthur Russell in disco mood.
Overleaf there's a 'Hot Mix' of 'Getting Warmer' which is funky and clipped cheesy house re-imagined as squelchy oddball weirdness but doesn't have the vocals of Side A to hold it together.
Fascinating, bizarre dancefloor.
