It’s coming up to that time of the season… Christmas singles time! The Manhattan Love Suicides have a nice original track called Look Who’s Coming to Town (Please Let It Snow), which looks at the festive period through dark shades and a wall of guitar fuzz. 7” single, released as part of the Snowflakes Christmas Singles Club.

7/10 Clinton Staff review, 30 November 2016

Do they actually want it to snow? They do realise don't they that the the Kirkstall road will be blocked again. I suppose it's preferable to it flooding and it will give them an excuse to don their trademark sunglasses. The A side is sure to be one of the better Christmas songs this year swirling with feedback and noise and an angry vocal which is very unseasonable I have to stay. Still it blasts along with all the grit and noise you would hope from this lot.  Overleaf there is something that sounds like 'Darklands' Jesus and Mary Chain doing a Christmas novelty song about their Grandma getting run over by a reindeer.

I'm baffled. Christmas eh? It seems to make everyone go totally doolally. I'm off to hide under a blanket.
