Today is the sort of day I want to become our Ian. I want to listen comforting shoegaze and electronica whilst eating a comfort kebab under a comfortable duvet.

From the first note of this delightful music from Iceland I am given warm and melodic electronica that reminds me of Aphex Twin at his most melodic and all those whole followed in his wake. It's expertly done Jonas Thor Gudmundsson  has an excellent production style which on 'Dream Is Sometimes the Right Thing To Do' incorporates live drums and shoegaze guitars. There's elements of all kind of good instrumental people in this track from Fourtet to U-ziq to Ulrich Schnauss. All the melodies are almost worryingly familiar on first play and Gudmundsson is bright and vibrant throughout. I could be concerned at why it's so immediately enjoyable or that this kind of thing has been done many times before but today is not the day for that. It's sounding extremely nice on my ears and makes me feel like I'm wrapped in a familiar world of bright and breezy electronica to make me feel better.

V. Impressive.
