Documented for posterity is the time some guys threw a load of samples over some so-so post rock and called it good. But something very remarkable indeed happened. Lots of people actually liked these vignettes and subsequently poured into the Brixton Academy to watch it all performed live. You can now re-live the sights, the sounds and the smells as the band rocked the Academy to it's very foundations in an event that has in some circles been compared to the time the Beatles rocked Shea Stadium.

9/10 Mark Customer review, 8th December 2016

First I confess. I love Public Service Broadcasting. This then is the culmination of what has been a six year journey for J.Willgoose Esq from The Fringe to fulfilling the dream of selling out Brixton Academy. What a night it was too: Dancing spacemen, snow, pyrotechnics. The regular trio backed by string section, choir and brass to deliver a glorious performance proving the tracks stand alone from the visuals in a live environment. Older tracks are re-worked - Lit Up is a joy, Theme From PSB is so much more live and newer ones such as Go! produce the closest thing to a mosh pit in the audience as you'll get at a PSB gig (never have so many middle aged heads nodded with such enjoyment). As always there is a large amount of tongue firmly in cheek in the delivery - especially the snippets between songs.

As for the product here, in the indie only sumptuous blue vinyl the sound has been remixed from the original live stream on two disks and also included is a live DVD which again has been re-cut from the original live stream on the night (thankfully cutting out a lot of the crowd shots including the bearded fat bloke writing the review here).

So all in all its captured for prosperity a great night for fans of the band and a great live album from the group who will probably end up in the top three of Mr Grumpy Normans 'Worst Bands of 2016' review. But what does he know :-)
