Spit It Out is the first single and opening track from Slaves’ new sophomore album Take Control. Rip roaring punk revival stuff that’ll inspire your next riot, or maybe mini riot, or at least have a good night on the tiles. Produced by ex-Beastie Boy Mike D, and an exclusive to this release track on the B-Side.

2/10 Robin Staff review, 27 September 2016

Here’s the worst band ever and also they’re from my hometown, a place so desperate for a taste of good music that it converted a public toilet into a venue. Slaves are just not good at all, but they’re on Virgin EMI and they’ve been on Jools Holland, so they’ve lived punk rock as purely as the earth has achieved its autumnal equinox. “Spit It Out” has one of their by-now classic riffs, carries on with a really uninteresting central lyric and some quasi-gnarly wailing in the background. There’s a shitty video to go along with it, there’s a song on the b-side and there’s a special place in hell for all of us.

8/10 James Head Customer review, 27th September 2016

The best word for me to describe Slaves would be 'furious'. Just honest angry music that tends to make one feel like starting a fight or trashing a room. Personally I love it, however it may not be for the light hearted...this track in particular.

The great thing about this track is that if you were like myself in the sense of loving the aggressive and feral nature of the band, then you will be pleased to know that they have geared it up a few notches with this one. 'Spit it Out' does not differ too much from Slaves's previous work, but it just seems like they have put in a little more power into this. If that is even possible.
