The Electric Lucifer by Bruce Haak

A rare slab of 1970 electronics by Bruce Haak. The Electric Lucifer is heavily-laden with dramatic organ and even more dramatic vocals, plus some cutting-edge Moog synths and electronically-tweaked wildness. This has been unavailable for years, but is now reissued in a limited edition of 1000 copies by Telephone Explosion.

Vinyl LP £21.49 TER041LP

Reissue LP on Telephone Explosion.

Pre-order. Due in on 20th November 2020 but delays are possible.

Although I had already heard a few of the "Electric Lucifer" tracks on the Hush Little Robot compilation CD, it was great to be able to listen to the original album in its entirety. The record seems to have been touted as somewhat of a concept album where "Powerlove" conquers all evil, although I personally wasn't able to discern any type of distinct storyline throughout the album. Nonetheless, the album is full of original, Haack-esque electronica, which was my main draw to Haack's works in the first place.
