Three funk fueled, highly percussive techno tracks from Melbourne producer Cop Envy backed by a Manse (Lobster Theremin, Opal Tapes) refix.

‘BGFT’ goes first, with spectral synth hovering under a steady kick and carnival snares. Joined by a throbbing dark garage style bassline and synth motif that recalls UK rave legend Eon (RIP).

‘Inner Other’ is a party friendly workout of jovial, ticking and chiming percussion - no frills, letting the rhythm do its work and create the momentum. ‘Handle Broker’ is expertly tooled, switching up linear rhythms and repetition with floor teasing fills.

The Manse Refix of ‘BGFT’ takes the original mix down into the sewers, dragging it through the filth where it accumulates a gloopy coating of dirt, then hangs it out to dry on a washing line and shoots the crusty remnants with blasts of chopped amen breaks from a sawed-off shotgun.
