Synth expert Martin Jenkins rolls another one out as Pye Corner Audio. This is his second LP on Ghost Box and in a way it is a sequel to 2012's 'Sleep Games'. What you can be sure of is massive big old fashioned synth sounds that reference all the greats including Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis and John Carpenter.

Absolutely bleeding wondersauce is this record! We all know Pye Corner Audio has been making great synthy sounds for a while... and I really like pies too so that's a bonus! Spooky dusty techno haunt music that sounds well old times! I feel like I'm in a library from the future on an industrial estate reading lots of old books. Martin Jenkins has really got the retro thing down sounding a lot like Boards of Canada and Concretism (who sound like Boards of Canada). The textures are quite sci-fi in that way where it sounds like someone's predicted what the future will sound like in the past. The boy's done it again and proved he can make those beautifulnormous grainy electronic tunes! Give him your money so he can make more!

9/10 Richard Customer review, 9th September 2016

Stasis, while not straying too far from the sound we've become accustomed to stands out from other PCA releases to date. The production's a little cleaner, the mastering a little brighter and while the foggy atmospheres that lurk in most of his productions are still present they sit more confidently along side syrupy modulated disco grooves that crop up in a number of my favourite tunes.

Another fine turn from the Head Technician.
