GOGGS are yet another band who feature the world's most active garage rocker Ty Segall. This time he's on guitar whilst Chris Shaw 'smokes the mic' as the press release confirms. That information coupled with the fact that this appears on In the Red suggests that this is lively punky garage with the most fuzzed out guitars you ever heard.

Ty Segall has been rather prolific as of late, whether it be on his own or with various projects (such as Fuzz), but this one could be his most musically ripping project to date. GØGGS is the trio of Segall, his Fuzz and live bandmate Charles Moothart, and Ex-Cult frontman Chris Shaw, but who would've thought three people would create a sound like an army of buzzsaws on their full-length debut. While the influences are there, they're not trying to replicate classic British punk, but instead they channel their inner hardcore punk from the 1980s that brings to mind early Black Flag or T.S.O.L.. While a few fans of his work may be thrown off by this hardcore driven sound, GØGGS is certainly another one for the Ty Segall collector.
