Hair eh? What would we do without it. The Hairs are a freak-pop collective showing influences ranging from comic books to K Records to houseplants to Flying Nun to anxiety to prison stays. Sounds very promising indeed and the sort of crazy unique thing you may have read about in Bananafish circa '92.

Thank God for nerds. Without them the world would lose some of it's most entertaining pop music. The Hairs sound like nerds to me. They sound something like a meeting of minds between They Might Be Giants, Neutral Milk Hotel and The Rentals on the the opener here 'Barbarians'. 'Deliverance' has a 'Roadrunner' style riff chugging along but the Hairs always add something of interest to their music and this case it's droning guitars and fizzing synths. A lot of this sounds like the John Flansburgh side of They Might Be Giants with plaintive college rock melodies and yearning nasal vocals and indeed reminds me of a lot of the US indie rock bands who were around in the '90s such as New Bad Things. Enjoyable.
