Kerrier District is one of many aliases used by Luke Vibert: it may in fact be one of his best. The Kerrier District 1 album was first released (on Aphex Twin’s Rephlex label) in 2004, but its wobbly, highly-colourful disco groove-bounce sounds just as fun and fantastic today on this reissue. This 3LP / 2CD release also adds in the 2 EP, so not shortage of content here. On Hypercolour.

- Kerrier District 1 by Kerrier District
9/10 Gregor Omelasz 29th January 2017
Killer, killer record, much like most of his (Luke Vibert) Kerrier District output. Now, I'm no expert on the man himself, but his Kerrier District alias has always resulted in quality releases. It's hit after hit from track 1 to track 10, either of which are fit for any nightclub, hell, anywhere, It's pretty easy to go off on a bender to this series also, just as a warning, but at least it will be a fun-filled bender.
If only 'Kiss My Bass' were on this release, otherwise, this is banging.
