With a steady release of EPs on Lux, Blank Artists, 7777, and Super Rhythm Trax Jahred Wilson’s deep acid jams will melt your brain as well as your heart. And if the completely nonsensical press release is anything to go by, I think that’s exactly the effect he is aiming for. 303 lover? Get on this!

- Communing With Ghosts EP by Jared Wilson
9/10 Ant Staff review, 08 June 2016
Top notch four track EP from Detroit acid wizard Jared Wilson via Glasgow’s excellent Dixon Avenue Basement Jams label.
Wilson was responsible for the inaugural release on the imprint and has been bangin’ out cuts on Lux Rec, Dolly, Skudge, Super Rhythm Trax and his own 7777 label. For my money, the man is one of the absolute best current tweakers of the TB-303 - acknowledging the Chicago roots of the style but never overly retro in his productions. Reach for any of these four tunes and watch the club/ basement/ warehouse walls melt.
‘Pheo Acid’ bangs hard with a big brooding bassline and hyperspace 303. ‘Acid River’ has some proper cheeky DJ Pierre ‘Box Energy’ style squirming acid.
'Smatrbar Acid’ is classy, soulful, jazz tinged acid house reminiscent of The DJ Fast Eddie’s ‘My Melody’. The titular closer goes darker with some duel 303 action where a deep, dirty bassline underpins some proper squelchy acid. The perfect soundtrack to a night's debauchery, lost in the strobes and smoke.
