Detroit Underground co-boss Annie Hall drops some high-grade electro cuts. Tight digital rhythms whip-crack relentlessly, propelling the dance quite mightily. Tenured Positions is dedicated to some of the amazing female scientists who don’t often get a look in in scientific histories: quite right! Limited edition of 300 LP copies, on Central Processing Unit.

- Tenured Positions by Annie Hall
8/10 Jamie Staff review, 05 April 2016
Four tracks of crystalline electro-tinged IDMtronica from Annie Hall have just dropped from your favourite binary-referencing dance label on this beauty of an E.P.
‘Curie’ is all bright and sparkly; star-bound synths and crisp snares -- mesmeric, propulsive electro bass and beats with the edge and quality you have come to expect from CPU. ‘Meitner’ is melodic clear water Drexciyan business and smooth, twinkling pads. ‘Arden’ gets a bit deeper and murkier, still with rays of light percolating through. Then we have final track of the quartet, ‘Herschel’ with its shimmering ambient take on the Blade Runner/Afrika Bambaataa axis. Tidy.
