The band behind such hits as "The Government Is Bad And Here's A Concept Album About It?" and "A Cover Of A Previously Good Nina Simone Song" go large with a RSD Exclusive 7" of "Reapers", taken from their latest and bleakest symphonic pop rock epic 'Drones'. It comes with a fold-it-yourself drone, which is basically just a paper airplane, but way weirder.

Finally another release from one of my all time favorite bands!!! This is the first 7" vinyl release since 2009's album "Resistance". Drones was released on the 8th of June 2015 (almost a year ago) and its nice to see that they are still releasing singles off the brilliant album. It seems that muse have listened to their fan base who are wanting more Single releases such as back in the old days of showbiz, oos and absolution where they would drop 4-5 different CD/DVD per album. The last album The 2nd Law as great as it was did not have any singles released and its just brilliant to see them coming back! Reapers is my favorite track on the latest album Drones and im so happy its now on vinyl
This will be my 66th muse CD/DVD/Vinyl in my collection and i cant wait to get it!

Despite the lukewarm reaction Drones received and the goofy art printed on to this picture disc, the song on it is actually pretty stellar. "Reapers" is everything I love about Muse in a track. Blistering riffs, good drumming, excellent vocals--nice falsetto, too--and excellent bass. Much more complex than more recent Muse, definitely a throwback. My expectations for Muses' recent effort were fairly low following The 2nd Law. I'm happy with some of what we got on it like this song here, "The Handler" and "Defector".
