Tween math rockers Foals have slowly gravitated away from their initial sound towards a skewed but monolithic arena rock, afforded to only a select amount of alternative acts. Here, for your aural perusal, is a 7" containing their track "Rain", plus a cover of a number by big bucks producer Mark Ronson, entitled "Daffodils". It's always, as they say, a good time.

Listened to this as soon as it came out, to start with the first song 'Rain' is daunting but beautiful, and 'Daffodils' still has the Mark Ronson and Kevin Parker feel to it though yet Foals have added their own touch to it. I don't even need to say any of this as all Foals fans know that a new release from the band is always a strong one e.g. 'What Went Down' was impeccable, 'Holy Fire' was incredible, 'Total Life Forever' kept the antidotes tone to it yet gave subtle hints to a new sound, and 'Antidotes' was a flawless debut. I look forward to seeing them for the 3rd time headline Reading and Leeds festival.
