The late Jay Reatard was something of an indie favourite for a moment there, and RSD celebrates that moment with a reissue of 'Blood Visions', his lightning fast garage punk missive. The songs are simple and the hooks plentiful, and they're delivered in Jay's distinctive style, a curiously sentimental take on the no-fucks-given attitude.

10/10 Jack Customer review, 14th April 2016

Although there's been a huge garage rock revival raging underground for a few years now, nothing has topped Jay Reatard's undeniable Blood Visions since it came out. The songs are swift and go straight for the jugular: fast, playful, emotionally raw, with Reatard's charismatic voice and guitar delivering enough hooks to fill a tacklebox. It's said he wrote the record as his relationship with his girlfriend disintegrated, and although he is clearly battling bad thoughts on this record, he seems to have a blast doing it.
