Micachu, aka Mica Levi, follows up 2015’s album with The Shapes and the stunning Under The Skin soundtrack with a return to playful experimentation. Taz and May Vids compiles a handful of tunes made with regular accomplice Tirzah and Brother May and is a weird and joyful electronic odyssey. How can something so abstract be so fun?

Micachu’s ‘GO’ has been resigned to Youtube for the last 5 or so years and now finally gets the vinyl treatment from Demdike Stare’s DDS label. You’d have to have a heart of stone not to be just a wee bit seduced - it’s like if the happy little elves in tinkly winkly land dropped a Grime cut. There’s another couple of playfully off kilter tracks with Tirzah plus ‘More Red’ with Brother May doing Quasimoto style helium Grime and Demdike Stare slipping into chopped oldskool garage shuffle mode on their edit of ‘I Dare You’.
