All Caps have finally repressed Bluntman Deejay’s Esoteric (Real) EP. Within this vinyl 12” you’ll find weirdo outsider house, percussive electronica and psychedelic beats all wrapped up nicely. This is hard to classify, soulful dance music. This beautiful and minimal EP is also very limited, so you only get one.

Much needed repress of this 2014 12” on the collectable All Caps label. Copies of the original pressing have been changing hands for stupid wonga - so now’s your chance to score a copy without having to sell the kids on eBay China.
Bluntman Deejay is a handle of Vancouver producer Jordan Matt who is also House of Doors (Mood Hut). His sound fits right into the labels recent, somewhat hazy aesthetic as heard on 12”s from Neuroshima, and Florist. ‘Esoteric Communion’ sounds like house/ techno being played from beneath the ocean, the keys rippling and fluttering, or a warped dub techno record melting in the sunshine. The percussion stomps and clunks along in all the right places, making for a really trippy, stoned sounding piece of dreamy techno.
‘Astat (Real)’ has a sorta forlorn, lost in the night sound, carried along by playful minimal house style percussion with the odd sample of someone (presumably Bluntman himself) taking herbal hits and coughing out plumes of delicately fragranced weed smoke. I bet he has one of those ‘Take Me To Your Dealer’ posters on the wall at his pad.
