Black Sunday is a 1977 terrorism thriller movie, soundtracked with typical dramatic aplomb by John Williams himself. This soundtrack has never previously been released on vinyl, and Mondo have really embraced the occasion, die-cutting bullet holes into the gatefold sleeve of the double LP, which includes a side’s-worth of bonus tracks.

8/10 Jack Customer review, 1st April 2016

As well known as he has been as a film composer for more than forty years, not everything that John Williams has composed is necessarily universally known to the public. Such is the case with the score he provided for the 1977 terrorism suspense epic Black Sunday. As a whole, this score is absolutely essential for fans of John Williams' film scores and fans of twentieth century orchestral (i.e. classical) music. The performance by the unnamed Hollywood orchestra is every bit as good as what we hear from Williams' frequent collaborators, the London Symphony Orchestra.
