Parlophone reissued a range of David Bowie albums in the Five Years boxset in 2015: now these nice 180g vinyl versions are being released individually too. Hunky Dory is Bowie’s 1971 triumph, containing several of his most immortal songs, including ‘Changes’ and ‘Life on Mars?’. Remastered in 2015.

10/10 Penrith Steve Customer review, 9th February 2016Whilst "Low" is regarded by many to Bowie’s masterpiece, my favourite album of his has always been "Hunky Dory". Whilst he was known for his experimentation and his ability to change from one genre to the next with each album, this highlights what a truly brilliant songwriter he was. "Life On Mars?" and "Changes" are probably among his most famous songs and sit nicely on this album. "Oh! You Pretty Things", "Fill Your Heart" and "Kooks" are dripping with quintessentially British eccentricity. "Quicksand" is possibly my favourite track on here - an utter masterpiece with a chorus that swells with epic beauty. The crunchy, swaggering rock and general Velvet Underground-ness of "Queen Bitch" and the yearning lead guitar of "Song For Bob Dylan" mark Mick Ronson’s excellent contribution to the album. This is as good as it gets and it’s an album that everyone should own and treasure.
