II is a brand new album from Magrudergrind, released after 6 years away. The band seems to have used the intervening time to increase their power and rage, as the powerviolence / grindcore heard here is among their most brutal material to date! Great stuff for those with negative energy to release. On Relapse.

8/10 Robin Staff review, 23 February 2016

Yessss come on! Legit grindcore legends and general loud operatives Magrudergrind haven’t released an album in seven years, which is a hell of alot longer a time period than the average track runtime on ‘II’ -- a minute plus however many surplus seconds. Judging by the surging feedback, comedown breakdowns and sturdy blastbeats of this record, they still know what they’re doing, honing their grind/PV sound so it can be as fast, troublesome and recognisable as ever.

I feel like I need say little more: Magrudergrind remain masters of their very own bait ‘n’ switch tactics, bringing in fuzzy, disorientating guitar on its own before crashing down with drums and skramz. It’s fastcore, so they’re fast. The riffs, though they disappear before your eyes, are as tight as ever, including the one that works its way through “War for Resources” before the song submits to its chaotic rhythmic hell. It's been a while, but they still grind in Magruder.
