One half of Fiery Furnaces returns with her third solo album, New View. Eleanor Friedberger brings her distinctive attitude to some summery and upbeat indie-pop. Her singular voice ties together this collection of playful rock and pop and her more experimental interests are kept in check by ridiculously catchy melodies. CD and LP on Frenchkiss.

8/10 Jack Customer review, 30th January 2016
A good new Indie artist for me is always a fun experience (though not that new as she spent years in the Fiery Furnaces and this is her third solo album - Clint) . This has an array of laid back, musically pure (not overproduced) sound, charming tunes and interesting lyrics. "He Didn't Mention His Mother," "Because I asked you (a particular favourite...great tune and lyrics)," "Sweetest Girl" and "Your Word" lead off and dragged me in. The remaining offerings are consistently appealing. Some are bouncier than others ("Cathy," was a nice toe tapper compared to the more stately "Two Versions of Tomorrow"). They all work in their own way. If this is your type of sound, you can't go wrong.
