Bloom Forever is the first single to be taken from Thomas Cohen’s debut album of the same name. The former S.C.U.M. frontman returns with a refined sound that relies on his diverse folk and pop songwriting skills and soft vocals. This vinyl 12” is released by Stolen records and is the perfect introduction to his rich and ever so slightly psychedelic sound.

7/10 Chuck James Customer review, 13th April 2016
Thomas Cohen sounds a bit like a post-punk singer fronting a 70's Laurel Canyon outfit. This is jarring at first, especially if you've heard his previous band, S.C.U.M, but actually proves a delight to listen to.
'Bloom Forever' is a long, sonically stunning song, named after Thomas' child. He has said that he wrote the songs, and then allowed his musicians to improvise around the chords in the recording session, a fact which seems obvious once you listen. The instruments swirl around one another in a kind of haze, and are mixed together wonderfully. Thomas' vocal stands out like a sore thumb, but once you're used to it, you can't imagine it being any other way. Another singer could have forced this song deep into throwback land, but Thomas' nasal and very English singing take it fully into modernity. A really good comeback from a fantastic musician.
