A new recording project from Patrick Doyle of Veronica Falls/The Royal We, Boys Forever produces delightful yet melancholic lo-fi pop songs. A definite must for fans of Fingerscut Mega Machine or collectors of endearingly rudimental 4-track home produced acoustic pop songs. Catchy as hell, great for bringing you back to life on drive home from work.

- Poisonous by Boys Forever
8/10 Clinton Staff review, 14 January 2016On a brand new label (run by a chap who has something to do with Domino I think) this is a lovely way to get started. ‘Poisonous’ is dangerously catchy indie pop which sounds like all your favourite C86’s rolled into one with a chorus that it’s fairly hard to get out of your head (I’ve tried). This should be good though - the guy responsible for the music has a backstory in Veronica Falls and others. Over on the other side we get a cover of pretty much the best song ever written ’They Don’t Know’ by Kirsty MacColl here done in shambling shuffly indie style. They struggle to get their fingers around the multiple chord changes in the chorus but that just adds to the charm. You can’t beat a good song.
