Running play a kind of garage repeato-rock (of course they do, they are on John Dwyer’s Castle Face! The spiritual home of all such musics), but they might be the most overcranked-sounding garage band I’ve heard in some time. Wake Up Applauding is thick with distortion and reverb, with a forward-driving momentum that feels unstoppable. Ferocious.

Running are back with a great new album! The album is released on the great label Castle Face Records. They may be described as garage rock but Running definitely have their own sound. Instead of using clean guitar sounds like a lot of garage bands use they choose to pile on the distortion and noise giving them an incredible sound. My favourite track is the title track "Reclaiming Would" which is exiting and fresh. This is also a great album as there are no bad tracks and every song is killer. Overall an incredible release from a great band.
