Death Waltz Recordings dabble again in issuing another fantastic film score. Le Matos’ soundtrack to 2015’s Turbo Kid mimics the films loving look back to the 80’s post-apocalyptic golden age. This will certainly make your ears prick up if you love John Carpenter’s arpeggiated basslines, Daft Punk’s glistening reimagining of Tron, or any of the modern resurgence of synth pop from College to Chvrches.

Do you like synthwave? If so, then you'll like this. Le Matos from Montreal, Quebec in cold Canada bring the cool with this emotional, danceable synth soundtrack to the film Turbo Kid. There's a bit of Carpenter in here, a bit of Daft Punk/French electro attitude, and a whole truckload of 80s. Don't be scared off from picking this up because it's a soundtrack - the music works fantastically on its own. Favorite tracks are Playtime is Over and The Kid, but there's not a bad pick in the bunch. Beautiful gatefold housing and heavyweight vinyl make this a gorgeous pickup.
Feel like dancing in an 80s post-apocalyptic wasteland where everyone rides BMX bikes? Look no further - Le Matos has got your back.
