This spirited soundtrack is an example of Joseph LoDuca's early work, before the Hercules and Xena television series. It's not as exotic or eclectic as his efforts for those shows, but there are many similarities (especially to "Hercules") and lots of great percussion on here. "Army of Darkness", is a sequel in the "Evil Dead" series of movies. So, in addition to all the heroic brass and orchestral stylings of a standard adventure movie soundtrack, there's a good deal of humour in this music, too.
