An international split EP here, combining Enemy Anenome (aka Jen Turrell, member of Rabbit In Red) with Cougar Vox. Neither of them hang around: this 45rpm 7” gets through 5 tracks! All jaunty and bright and shamblesy and happy. Good vibes! The coloured vinyl plays backwards, because why not? On Emotional Response.

7/10 Staff review, 03 December 2015

Incredibly this record plays backwards, from the inside out so I’m enjoying watching the needle move inwards as the music progresses. Which side am I on? It’s Cougar Vox who are from Australia and make shouty fun and fuzzy indie pop  - opener ‘Craigyburn’ is particularly infectious.    Overleaf (must remember to put the needle in the middle) is the new project from Boyracer lady Jen Turrell and it’s great fun twisty indie that harks back to the late 70’s pop blasts of Girls at our Best and the Waitresses. Good unpretentious bubblegum pop.
