A V Linton is a legend of underground indie pop.  The Aislers Set were a much loved band as we all know but even further back there was amazing work in the 90’s with Henry’s Dress, but the last release from The Aislers Set was in 2003, making this an exciting return. On the A-side, Linton is helped out by Stewart (of Boyracer), which means two tracks of melodic underground fun! 500 coloured vinyl copies on Emotional Response.

The Aislers Set are a much loved indie pop band from ….oh somewhere that is probably hotter than here and this is the first new music from them in lord knows how long. Their new track is just delicious, showcasing the not inconsiderate talents of front person AV Linton. A lovely acoustic lament with out of nowhere banjo solo and the kind of wandering melody that only the worlds most interesting songwriters can produce.   Overleaf Linton collaborates with Boyracer front lad Stewart Anderson on a slab of shambling indie pop, improved considerably when Linton’s amazing voice appears. A great little 7”.
