Dylan once told some reporters that he didn't feel he could do any better than Highway 61 and then came Blonde on Blonde. A period of time when Dylan was writing songs in pace with his breathing. This album is a flawless masterpiece of lyric and music, that "metallic sound" that Dylan strove to achieve is realised on this album more than any other. This is an album you want to "crank," allowing Dylan's voice to do it's impeccable phrasing just below the distortion level.

From "Rainy Day Women #12 and #35" to the incredible "Sad-Eyed Lady of the Lowlands," this album could not be better sequenced.
