Can we call this post-Biffy Clyro? Post Temper Trap? Perhaps not, but that’s sure to put you in the ballpark. Sun Leads Me On is the second album from Canadian band Half Moon Run. It’s heart on sleeve stuff that’s sure to do obscenely well at the summer festivals. Out on CD and vinyl LP from Glassnote.

I first got into Half Moon Run when they released their first album 'Dark Eyes', so I was naturally excited when they announced 'The Sun Leads Me On'. 'Dark Eyes' was so good that I was slightly concerned that the band might struggle to produce a second album that was anywhere near as good as their debut.
'The Sun Leads Me On' consists of Half Moon Run's typical acoustic yet atmospheric tracks, as well as a couple of electronic and somewhat trancey songs. This is a sound that the band had not previously covered in their last album.
Tracks to look out for are 'I Can't Figure Out What's Going On', 'Consider Yourself', 'Turn Your Love' and 'Trust'
