Lee Gamble sneakily drops two new tracks white-label style on PAN, no doubt to the joy of many. Specifically, these tracks are for the dancers: Motor System is extracted from his Koch album but beefed up and extended for the club and B23 Steelhouse is similarly hyped. Mastered for maximum impact. 500 copies only.

8/10 Staff review, 30 September 2015

This 12” here sees Mr. Lee Gamble of Koch fame (Ian and Phil let out a collective giggle every time) put out some much more techno-y techno than the more subtle bits of rainy ambient-y techno encountered on the last LP. The CYRK founder gets straight to thumping business here, with ‘B32 Steelhouse’ racing along at an even 137bpm trading off onbeat claps, phasing hats and a muffled bassline. Some weird cycling found sound joins before the central synth line noisily hazes across your ears. Things get more shiny, then super intense toward the end. He then extends album cut ‘Motor System’ for a few more minutes, jamming about its apocalyptic, dusty pound til the vocal sample becomes a squelch. Very good techno apparatus here, on limited white label wax.
