Spectres noisy shoegaze was recently showcased with their debut full-length Dying, and this release subjects two of that record’s tracks to the whims of remixers. On the A-side is Richard Fearless of Death In Vegas, who takes Sea Of Trees in a techno direction. On the B, Factory Floor make Sink sound like Factory Floor. On Sonic Cathedral.

7/10 Clinton Staff review, 15 September 2015

Spectres normally make noisy shoegaze but here they’ve been reworked by Death in Vegas’s Richard Fearless and serial remixers Factory Floor. There’s no original track on the release to compare this to so I’m straight info Fearless’s mix which has thumping kick drum and an air of menace throughout. There’s a whirring sound which, if I were to be honest with you, frightens me a little. He blends in snatches of pulsing electronics to the brew along side a clapperboards drum beat before washing it down with some fizzing synths. Eerie.

Overleaf Factory Floor have a drum workshop interrupted by shards of metallic vocal and guitar skree which is chopped in and out of the mix. This builds really cleverly so that the sounds after awhile become quite normal to the ear and start to play melodies within themselves. How much interest this will be to Spectres fans I’m not sure -- neither side bears any resemblance to their music but as an experiment in making something out of something else this has been well worth the bother.

8/10 S.Westwood Customer review, 15th September 2015

Spectres'es debut was a great listen it melted many genres (shoegaze, noise rock, psych rock and punk) and turned them into a colossal sound. This release features two tracks from their debut "Dying". However this time they have been remixed and remade. The first side is remixed by Richard Fearless of Death In Vegas. It starts off with a steady loop before growing into a pulsing techno monster. The B side is remixed by Factory floor and is a hypnotic master class in remixing. Another great Spectres release
