Don’t hear so much jazz-rock around these days do we? Well hear it now, with Brian Ellis and his Group. The Escondido Sessions grounds flighty jazz improvisations with a firmly rock rhythm section. Saxophones, but also guitar, organ and Moog synth make up the palette of this record. Pretty strong stuff, on El Paraiso Records.

9/10 S.Westwood Customer review, 18th December 2015

Brian Ellis is back this time releasing a record in the form of an LP with the Brian Ellis Group.

The album kicks off with the awesome "Via De Mi Rancho" which is easily one of my favourite tracks of the year.

This is then followed by another killer track this time called "Too Late For Georgia's" which is also an incredible track.

The next track also keeps up the consistency and is called "On Peterson's Corner" this track is the shortest on the album.

The album is finished with "Memories of Pubby" which ends the album perfectly.

Overall this is my favourite jazz influenced record of the year and would highly recommend it to anyone.
