Keaton Henson, who is both a visual and a sonic artist, only emerged into the musical sphere a few years ago, but his albums sold out quick. Hence The Vinyl Factory are providing some high-spec reissues. Dear is Henson’s debut record, full of despondent songwriting and carefully placed arrangements.

6/10 Penrith Steve Customer review, 13th July 2015
"Dear" is the debut album from Irish singer/songwriter Keaton Henson. He comes across like less confident version of Conor Oberst. His voice wavers with a similar fragility but I feel that it's a bit more genuine compared to Oberst's fake-sounding emotion. Henson's introspective demeanor seems to genuinely trouble him "And my thoughts are low / And I cannot grow / In this small space" from "Charon". It mostly quite bland but it's okay in places, "Sarah Minor", for example. I imagine that it will appeal to fans of Damien Rice or Conor Oberst.
