This little release sees Rob Holloway of the now-defunct Bitstream cram as many beats as he can onto a piece of 7” plastic. There are 5 tracks in total, with each side ending in a locked groove, the last of which fooled us for a good 20 minutes before we realised that it was just a loop. That electronic stuff is all the same innit.
It sort of reminds me of early Warp, on the boundary of electro-y techno and minimally glitchy IDM, brimming with synths both spacey and punchy. Some of the big scifi chords have a bit of a Ghost Box feel, and wouldn’t be out of place in a '70s space epic. It’s all some good electronic bleeps, similar to that Lnrdcroy thing that came out the other week or Vertical67. Oh and it comes with confetti in a black envelope, if you weren’t already on this.
