‘A Half Of Seven’ is a split 7’’ recorded in 2014 at Candyland in Cincinnati by R. Ring’s Mike Montgomery. Protomartyr’s A side ‘Blues Festival’ is a relentless, angry rant about being in a band sung by Joe Casey with backing vocals from Kelley Deal (The Breeders, R. Ring). Duo R. Ring also contribute B side ‘Loud Underneath’.

9/10 S.Westwood Customer review, 13th January 2016

Protomarytr are back with another great single this time called "Blues Festival". The single is another great song from the band and features some great vocals and guitar work. It really shows how great the band are on their instruments. It also features vocals from Kim Deal. Her vocals really add to the song and really makes the song better. The B side is from the band R. Ring and is also a great single.

Overall a great single from some great band and it is also on a very great label. This leaves me exit it's for both bands new releases.
