Everything Bowie put out up to the Scary Monsters album was pretty much perfection. This vinyl collection from the first five years is peerless in quality, originality and consistency. The studio albums are of course the real treats here. Sounding wonderful and looking gorgeous on 180g vinyl and in wonderful replicas of their original sleeves. There is also an album of rarities which has some fantastic single edits and rarities from the early days. I have las ways loved the Marc Bolan version of Prettiest Star and her it is remastered and sounding more wonderful than ever. Of course everything here sounds great. Does it sound better than the originals. Hard to say- hence the mixed opinions.

Of things considered having all these studio albums, an album of rarities and two great live double albums all, not to mention the luxuries book that comes with it, all in one box is a dream come true.
