- Draw For The by Laksa
7/10 Ant Staff review, 25 June 2015
Beneath's Mistry label are responsible for putting out the debut EP from Laksa who provides 3 tunes of darkside bass heavy, maximum dubbed out house/ techno. 'Draw For The' kinda reminds me of early DMZ stuff, with chunky marching drums all reverberating in some sweaty, claustrophobic echo chamber.
'Baded' is pretty spaced out; with tough and funky, rattling drums and a melancholy bassline and f/x laden synths that sound like weeping birds while Touch Down' is all stuttering kick and rim-shots, building snares and claps and mutating techy dread bass. Recommended if you're into UK underground post-dubstep/ Bristol school techno/ bass mutations.
