New Blood Music 12” on Diagonal, packaged in a typically sharply designed sleeve. Frantic percussive activity, using Japanese Taiko drums among others. And on top of the drums, unleashed electronics and feedback run wild: this is a mighty mixture indeed. Also contains a powerful remix of Chicks by Helm.

- Chicks / Badgering by Blood Music
8/10 Ant Staff review, 25 June 2015
Blood Music returns to Diagonal for a heavy 3-track session complete with Helm remix.
First up is 'Chicks' with a rumbling kick drum that sounds like a motorbike engine humming away, joined by parts of scrap metal that tinkle, crash and crunch away alongside dissonant, slightly doomy guitar and metal clattering that sounds like a voodoo ceremony in a scrap yard.
The title of 'Sharking' plants the seed that grows into the sound of my nightmares lost in murky shark infested black waters. A short, consisce departure into unsettling soundscapes before the glitched up 'Badgering' gets going, coming across like Mark Fell nicked Ancient Methods laptop. Alter / Helm man Luke Younger pops up for a remix of 'Chicks' increasing the intensity with re-arranged rhythms, initially frantic then settling into a sludgy dubbed out squelch and back into thunderous danceable tribal polyrhythms with blasts of ghoulish sizzling electronics enveloped in a gaseous fog dissolving around hammered metal echoing in a cave. Like some sort of industrial music made by primitive man with access to the iron age through time travel.
