Latest super-action blockbuster Mad Max: Fury Road has been smashing its way into cinemas of late, with a suitably big, brash, and, to be fair, inventive soundtrack from Junkie XL, who feels serious enough here to use his birth name: Tom Holkenberg.

If you're looking at this, you're probably familiar with the film this was composed for. If not, the movie is a post-apocalyptic car chase featuring Cirque Du Soleil chasing Stomp to Burning Man and this is the music to fit that. It's clear that both George Miller & Tom Holkenborg had a vision of a score which was integral to the movie and it's perhaps a little unfair to consider this on it's own devoid of the accompanying visuals but there are some tracks that can easily stand on their own such as the Doof Warior/Drummers but the central Brothers In Arms is a future track to be played over trailers of other movies in future in the same way Fluke's Reeferendum was at the turn of the century.
And it's a nice big 2 disc marbled vinyl gatefold thing to boot, looks nice.
