Hooton Tennis Club have their full-length debut lying just around the corner, but for now here is another single to whet appetites. Kathleen Sat On The Arm Of Her Favourite Chair is a friendly slice of indie pop, with some mega-twee lyrics about going for a walk in the park / going swimming. Sweet. 7” on Heavenly.

By the sounds of these breezy pop tunes Hooton Tennis Club's debut due later in the year could be an enjoyable slacker pop romp. The prosaicly titled 'Kathleen Sat On The Arm Of Her Favourite Chair' is a bit more exciting than that title suggests. It has the laid back charm of the Lemonheads when Evan Dando's lyrics concerned you know...hanging out and doing stuff and shit. They match this insouciant cool with a pleasurable guitar track that doesn't worry that the solos aren't perfectly nailed on.
Overleaf they've...like....y'know....been to the shopping precinct and bought some shoes and shit and come home and listened to the Velvet Underground's third record and picked up some guitars and y'know.....jammed a bit.
