The Kumari are an English garage-rock group, doing that garage-rock thing with side-lashings of psych (the 1960s kind) and folk-rock. Walking, their freshest single, is backed with the exclusive track ‘Bea’, in a 7” package limited to a mere 350 copies. The single is released by Croque Macadam.

7/10 Clinton Staff review, 07 July 2015

I feel like I'm in some kind of power pop/psych pop heaven this morning. This record can't compete with the magnificent Triptides album nor the excellent EZTV disc but certainly has something to offer to anyone who likes a strung out '60's garage racket. Lead track 'Walking' is a straightforward bluesy guitar romp with plenty of nods to the Rolling Stones and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. They have that dingy underground sound down pat. Overleaf 'Beam' heads maybe into early Love territory with some folk rock guitars and a spacious cavernous sound.
