7/10 Clinton Staff review, 03 June 2015
A tough one to ask for in your local Woolworths and it’s hard to imagine it being pumped into the ears of Saturday afternoon shoppers either. However, for the more discerning listener there are some intense house vibes to soak up. The title track has some thumping tribal rhythms and reverbed percussion hits which gradually builds in intensity. Someone appears to be blowing into the piping system of a disused power station and the track is full of the type of eerie noises you’d run a mile from if they occurred late at night when you were faffing around in some light industrial complex. The rest of the EP is lighter and more bleepy, the pick of the bunch being the krauty ‘Syg’ with pulsating synths perfectly syncopating with the metronomic beats. Perfect for people who enjoy hearing bleeps and weird noises on the same record.
