Zombi, a duo from Pittsburgh, were hugely influenced by the band Goblin who wrote the score for the original Dawn Of The Dead film. It was also where they got their name, the Italian release of the film being called Zombi. The Zombi Anthology features the multi layered looping of synth, bass and drums making sounds that sit somewhere between space rock and classic horror scores. If you've been buying up the recent slew of John Carpenter film score reissues, this may be your bag.
8/10 paul w Customer review, 17th April 2015
A Rare Early release that was being touted on resale websites for £50 up until recently due to its scarcity, its a lot of early Carpenter-esque synths (all the tracks are named Sequence 1-8 plus an additional version sadly sequence 9 is lost from the first edition) and the addition of live drums on the last tracks which would become the norm for Zombi from there until the current day, as a fan of Majeure and Steve Moores solo works plus all things Zombi, this is a essential purchase as theres a good number of releases of this genre on vinyl only which as someone who has no room for a record player or records frankly is frustrating so snap it up before the record flippers do!
