I’m having a few issues with these Market Square records in that we don’t have one of the middle things for the record player so any off kilter wooziness is fully unintentional.

The Ar-Kaics beat a much more garage rock path than janglesome label mates The Belltowers and The Cramps, The Seeds and The Animals. ‘Always the Same’ contains blasted guitars and blood curdling screams whilst overleaf ‘Let Me In’ is a much more gentle sounding track like a Velvet Underground playing catchy garage pop rather than mean drones. Its a great track which will appeal to fans of modern day '60’s aficianados like Brian Jonestown Massacre or The Allah La's.
