It’s 1968 and Ennio Morricone is at the height of his composing powers, working on Sergio Leone’s classic Once Upon a Time in the West as well as this great example of his work for Roberto Faenza’s first movie Escalation. Working with Bruno Nicolai and using vocals from Alessandro Alessandroni’s Cantori Moderni, this is one of Morricone’s richest soundtracks. On Transparent yellow vinyl, limited to 500 copies on Dagored.
