Justin Townes Earle has created this double album titled Single Mothers/Absent Fathers, a record where we can hear him dealing with his own demons faced in both his family life and in toxic relationships with those around him -- as well as drugs and alcohol. The albums are a fantastic glimpse into the troubled yet brilliant mind of this alt-country act. Vinyl Double LP on Loose Music.

8/10 Jack Customer review, 10th December 2016
In this companion piece to Single Mothers, Justin Townes Earle languishes amongst steel guitars and haunting blues melodies, adrift in a world of misery and melancholy and some faint thing called hope. It's a "sip your bourbon alone in the dark" album, with lyrics lamenting love lost and love never attained, and the ache of never truly understanding who you are or where you come from. His talent is inspiring and I believe he has gotten better. I think those of us who love this genre of music has many years of enjoyment ahead with Justin.
