Fictonian's psych beauty has been firing in all directions so far, with fluorescent pop stormer "Full Circle Influence" sprawling out towards a seven minute runtime. This 10" proves the potential for both experimentation and big, bold hooks, with a sound that could rival Tame Impala or Foxygen.

8/10 Clinton Staff review, 29 January 2015

Letting out their inner Beta Band are Fictonian, a Phoenix based collective in search of the perfect song. On ‘Full Circle Influence’ they get pretty close - a dreamy dirge-like piece which flickers with light - a circling zen like lesson in repetition and minimalism. For a more obscure reference wrack your brains back to the pulsating acoustic pop of By the Fireside. Overleaf something completely different. This is a slow piano piece with lots of spaces between the notes (often filled by birdsong) and vocals that recall Mark Hollis or David Sylvian. This is bold and daring music. I think they are onto something.
