Golden Pudel residents Helena Hauff and F#X return to PAN with a couple of epic grotty tracks. First up ‘Unit 2669’ get simmering with degraded metallic chimes, cowbell and bubbling 303 and slowly reaches boiling point with grubby kicks and gently tweaked, gurgling, caustic acid - mapping out and endless searching groove across its twelve minute duration.

Over on the flipside ‘Mockba’ moves away from the dancefloor and into machine music that sounds on the very brink of collapse. Intense sonar bleeps sound like a submarine having a panic attack, seemingly increasing in intensity while a slightly noisy, utterly disgusting malfunctioning doomy synth sounds like its struggling to tear its way through black water. Not sure how often I’d revisit the B-side, but the A is a keeper and recommended for fans of dark comatose acid as peddled by the likes of the Hauge’s Bunker.
